I hate avocado. It makes me gag. But I still force myself to eat it because society tells me I have to.
I’ve tried so many different ways to make avocado appealing and I’ve found two ways to actually enjoy it: smashed on toast or blended in a smoothie bowl. This time, I opted for the latter and made the bowl all fancy so it would seem more appealing.
And you know what? It was tasty.
Here’s my recipe for this super simple smoothie bowl.
Avo-nana Smoothie Bowl
- 1 banana
- Half an avocado
- 8 oz. non-dairy milk (I use flaxmilk)
- other fruit for topping
- Blend banana, avocado and non-dairy milk until smooth.
- Top with more bananas and other fruit.
